I was a sophmore in High School at the time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I had lost my biggest support, my favorite person, and the only one keeping me in check. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Once I lost her, I lost the happiness I had in life. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This translated into high school that we talked about in episode 3, because since I hated life, I didn&#8217;t care the repurcussions for standing up for people. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Very much so, I had a bully the bully mentality, and I would. It fuels a fire in me when I see someone getting bulled, and I always stood up for them. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I always would do things to make me feel something because the only feeling I felt, was hatred. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">And I took it out on everyone. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When you&#8217;re a teenager, and you&#8217;ve experienced trauma from childhood, then the one thing that kept you sane left, the only feeling that would come up was hatred. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I hated my mom, she tried her best. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I hated my friends, because they talked about me behind my back. (Not true friends BTW)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I hated my relationship because being with them, reminded me of the anger I felt as a kid. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Then everything came to head and my childhood trauma mixed right in. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I got diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and PTSD.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The result? <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I decided I didn&#8217;t want to feel this hatred for life anymore. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Was this all that life had to offer? Hatred? Sadness? Disorders? Anxiety? PTSD Triggers? <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I was sick of a wasted, hating life. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Sick of a wasted life. <\/p>\n<cite>Fire From The Gods, 8 Billion Rats<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">So, I decided I wanted to self-improve. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In S1E15, Why Self-Help is Important To Do Your Way, we talked about how when you self-improve, it&#8217;s important to do it your way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This idea applies here, in a new way of thinking. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When I finally decided that I wanted to improve my life, I started doing every self-help technique I could find. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I watched all of the self-help gurus online, read all of the self-help books, I did acupuncture, zero-balancing, reiki, and so much more all to realize one thing. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To self-improve, I have to listen to myself. Not others!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I realized that what one self-help person would swear by, contradicted the other self-help person I was also seeing. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I soon found that trying to help myself improve, had to be decided by me, and me alone. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Same goes for you, to self-improve you have to do what works for you; not anyone else. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Some things that worked for me that may work for you too: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Accupuncture- helped me ground my dissassociated energy into my body, healed my asthma, and helped me tremendously. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Journaling- neuroscientists found that handwriting establishes connections between areas of the brain. <sup data-fn=\"9dd7c62d-3709-409f-94e3-0fe8e65deefa\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#9dd7c62d-3709-409f-94e3-0fe8e65deefa\" id=\"9dd7c62d-3709-409f-94e3-0fe8e65deefa-link\">1<\/a><\/sup> Simply put, when you write about what you want to improve, the brain connects to areas that forumate ways to improve. One of my favorites. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mobility Exercises- Working out eases symptoms of depression and anxiety. <sup data-fn=\"ae4a98ec-0178-4346-a454-3e8af9b34aaa\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#ae4a98ec-0178-4346-a454-3e8af9b34aaa\" id=\"ae4a98ec-0178-4346-a454-3e8af9b34aaa-link\">2<\/a><\/sup> I had a lot trauma around exercises and I found mobility to be the best to not trigger me much. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finding my passion- Focusing on what you enjoy versus what you dislike is a guaranteed way to lessen the feeling of hatred and improve. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set Boundaries- No one is allowed to treat me poorly in my life. While, you&#8217;ll never be able to tell me worse things, than I&#8217;ve said to myself, if you disrespect me, you&#8217;re out. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other self-improvement activities that may help you! <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reiki<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chakra Healing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sound healing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shamanic Healing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meditation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EFT Tapping<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TRE Exercises<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Earthing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ice baths<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Going outside<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Breathwork<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 senses meditation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aromatherapy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go for a run\/jog\/walk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tremor therapy<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This life is for you, if you want to self-improve, you can! <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Try some of them out!
